Allow access to camera in Safari

Verifying your identity for Sweet requires Safari to use your camera. Here is how to enable access on an iOS mobile or tablet device.

Updated over 2 years ago

Getting verified is part of the process to unlock all the features of the Sweet platform. To do this Sweet uses a third party verifier that will take a photo of your id and a small video of your face for validation. If you attempt to verify your identity but the camera is not accessible or showing a black image, you may need to adjust the settings of when Safari can access your camera.

To enable our verifier to complete its task, you need to provide access to your webcam and microphone. Safari requires you answer this each time.

Allowing Safari Access to Your Camera

1. Press "Allow" when prompted.

If you do not see this prompt or accidentally press deny, you may need to specifically enable camera and microphone access in your device's settings.

2. Scroll down, and select Safari.

3. Select Camera and set it to Allow.

4. Set to Allow

5. Do the same for Microphone.

Some other troubleshooting steps include the following:

  1. Make sure you are not in private mode in Safari 11+

  2. Ensure your iPad doesn't have the zoom feature enabled.
