To launch their roadmap for the remainder of the 2022 season, Red Bull Racing is launching an NFT drop featuring digital collectibles that represent helmets worn by Checo (Driver Sergio Perez) over the course of seven races from this season. The first four (4) unique helmets will drop on July 9th. After this initial release, the roadmap will continue with the next drop in October, and feature a set of three new helmets. Each helmet will feature 1 rare NFT for auction, and 999 sold at a fixed price. All 1,000 will be backed by included utility. Read on below for descriptions of the helmets and the exciting In Real Life (IRL) utility included.

The auctions will all begin at 01:00 BST on July 9th / 20:00 EDT on July 8th and end at the following times on July 13th:

Fulfillment of the physical signed caps and the ‘ACTION.PACKED.’ box are the responsibility of Red Bull Racing Limited (“Red Bull”). The physical signed caps and ‘ACTION.PACKED.’ box will be delivered by DHL or equivalent national or international delivery service, to the address provided by the winning bidder. Red Bull accepts no responsibility or liability for any delays, damages or other issues with delivery. The maximum delivery term shall be no longer than 60 days from the end of the Auction for the physical signed caps. The delivery terms for the ‘ACTION.PACKED.’ box shall be communicated to the recipient in the [time] proceeding the Austin race weekend (20th – 24th October 2022). Any delay in relation to delivery of the rewards shall be communicated to the reward recipient(s).

For Red Bull Racing NFTs, we are using the Tezos standard for NFTs. All of our NFT implementations, regardless of the underlying blockchain standard, will support the same features and user experience, and provide the same benefits of a blockchain-based digital collectible.

Tezos operates a blockchain with a proof-of-stake system. Crucially, this system doesn’t rely on massive computer power. Its demand for electricity is significantly less and it’s far more energy-efficient using approximately 2M times less energy than some other types of blockchains.

Digital collectibles are technology which can be used by artists, teams and brands to create unique, one-of-a-kind tokens for fans and consumers. Digital collectibles can take on any form: a piece of art, a unique pin, token card or image, an embedded video, audio or animation.

A digital collectible is similar to a physical collectible, but in digital format. Like a physical collectible, a digital collectible is distinguished and unique. To ensure each digital collectible’s unique authenticity, blockchain technology is used to demonstrate rights ownership and authenticity. This is similar to receiving a "certificate of authenticity" with unique physical merchandise like a signed baseball card.

Physical and digital collectibles have many similar traits, such as strong fan affinity and pride of ownership (otherwise known as “bragging rights” as you show off your collections). However, digital collectibles have many advantages over physical collectibles. This helps to explain the transformation of the collectible space over time and the rapid growth of digital collectibles.

A fan or user can have the same thrill, affinity and enjoyment from owning a digital collectible as owning a physical one, plus all the conveniences of better authenticity, shipping, storage, and sharing.

Only the first purchase holder of these NFTs will be entitled to receive the corresponding prizes. If these NFTs have been listed for resale on Sweet or elsewhere on the secondary market, there are no corresponding prizes that can be redeemed with the NFTs. The utility the NFTs give do not transfer with secondary market sales.

In no event shall Red Bull be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, work stoppages, accidents, or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software or hardware) services, when these circumstances constitute a force majeure as defined under applicable local law.

To the fullest extent permissible by law, no conditions, warranties or other terms apply to the physical signed caps, which will each be delivered "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose).

Only the first purchase holder of the corresponding NFTs will be entitled to receive the corresponding ‘ACTION.PACKED.’ box prizes. If this NFT has been listed for resale on Sweet or elsewhere on the secondary market, there are no corresponding prizes that can be redeemed with the NFT. The utility the NFT gives does not transfer with secondary market sales.

Fulfilment of the Checo 1-2-1 Video Call is the responsibility of Red Bull Racing Limited (“Red Bull”). The Checo 1-2-1 Video Call will be 10 minutes in length and held on Sunday the 31st of July 2022 - over the Hungarian Race Weekend (during the Race Overview). Questions must be submitted in advance to Red Bull who will then facilitate the prize. Any delay in relation to delivery of the rewards shall be communicated to the reward recipient(s).
